Who else is excited for September? Michael Ausiello posted even MORE Bones spoilers! Take a look at the latest batch of Ask Ausiello spoilers. If you want to remain spoiler free, do not continue reading:
Question: Did you get any scoop/updates on what Hart Hanson & Co. are planning for the upcoming 150th episode of Bones?
Funny story. I not only raised the topic of the big 150th to exec producer Stephen Nathan recently, but I pitched him a story, too. Basically, I told him the milestone outing — which will likely air around midseason — should climax with Brennan proposing to Booth. His response? “Well, [the engagement issue] will be part of this season,” he confirmed. “That’s been held over their heads for a long time. It won’t resolve itself, but it will be something that we do explore this season.” Looking at Season 8′s big picture, Nathan envisions a tone that’s “a touch darker” than last season. “We kind of looked at last season as everybody came together and became very comfortable. So it was sort of a funnier, very peaceful and kind of loving season,” he notes. “But we don’t want them to get too comfortable. People were broken apart [in the finale] and we’re going to try to see how they come back together — if they come back together. Booth and Brennan have a lot to deal with. She might’ve done the right thing, but she broke up the family [and] went away. She took his daughter. And they’re going to have to get past that.”
Question: Any more details on the Angela-centric Bones bonus episode?
Angela meets an artist (played by October Road‘s Jay Paulson) who forces her to “reevaluate her life,” reveals Nathan. “With Hodgins being a gazillionaire, she doesn’t really have to work. Also, what’s kind of been lost in these seven years is that Angela is a temporary employee [at the Jeffersonian]. But because she’s become so close to everybody, she’s working there full time. But that was never her intent. This was always just a sideline [gig] for her, so she’s [questioning whether] she should go off and pursue what she originally wanted to pursue.” Faster than you can say “Holy complication, Batman!” Nathan drops this final tidbit: ”Something will occur with Hodgins where it might not be as simple as she thinks.”
Michael Ausiello of TV Line’s Ask Ausiello recently posted two Bones spoilers. For those wanting to remain spoiler free, do not read below:
Question: Is this the season that Emily Deschanel finally directs an episode of Bones?
Probably not. “We would love her to direct, but the issue is the baby,” says exec producer Stephen Nathan of the new real-life mom. “She’s going to have a toddler and it’s just so hard to juggle the time. It’s hard under the best of circumstances, but to act on the show, feed the baby, play with the baby and direct…. I don’t know how it’s possible.”
Question: I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m ridiculously excited about Bones‘ upcoming all-squintern episode. Got any scoop?
Hopefully someone at Fox was capturing behind-the-scenes footage for use as a DVD extra. “Watching those boys off camera was I think as entertaining as watching them on camera,” reports Tamara Taylor, who plays Cam. ”The amount of testosterone flying around the room was awesome.” The episode itself involves Team Squintern attempting to solve a mystery regarding a victim of the 9/11 attacks. “They’re all competing to crack the case,” Taylor explains. “Nerds, believe it or not, have egos too.”
The next season of Bones will feature an episode based on infamous serial killer Jack the Ripper, it has been revealed. Executive producer Stephen Nathan revealed that an upcoming plot focuses on Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) investigating a murder in a community modelled after the late 1800s.
“They’re in a completely different world, with handlebar moustaches and suspenders,” he told TV Guide. “Booth and Brennan will have to discover if someone is mimicking Jack the Ripper.”
Deschanel predicted that her character will “have a field day” with the unusual case, while Boreanaz said: “I’ve always been fascinated by Jack the Ripper… the science back then was raw and gruesome.”
The actor recently warned Digital Spy to prepare for a “pretty hectic, crazy season” of Bones. The show will return to Fox on September 17.
Michael Ausiello of TV Line’ Ask Ausiello has posted three new Bones spoilers. If you wish to remain spoiler free, do not read below. For everyone else, take a look at what season 8 has to offer:
Question: Any clue who will have replaced Brennan in the lab when Bones returns?
Ausiello: Hint — the person is question is, like Brennan, a forensic anthropologist (which should narrow things down considerably). Bonus clue: His initials are C.E.
Question: I think by now everyone knows who Cam’s new/old love interest on Bones is. I am sure you have something not known and more exciting for us. Bonus points if it includes Booth and Brennan.
Ausiello: Actually, not everyone knows the identity of Cam’s new/old BF. “I don’t know who it is — they haven’t told me,” insists Cam’s portrayer, Tamara Taylor. “It could be anyone from the country boy, who I loved, to any of the squinterns, to any of the FBI guys we’ve seen before. I’ve racked my brain. I’m not sure who one it is.” One person Taylor is praying it isn’t? Rookie intern and the object of her daughter’s affection, Finn Abernathy. “That’s so inappropriate,” she protests. “That is mildly creepy. He’s so young.”
Question: Got anything juicy on Bones?
Ausiello: EP Stephen Nathan tells me the show is planning an episode that should warm Emily Deschanel’s animal rights-lovin’ heart. “It’s a story about smuggling endangered species into the states as pets,” he reveals. “In fact, what is horrifying is that there are more tigers as pets in Texas than there are in the wild. So we’re doing a story about animal smuggling that takes place in one of those pet expos.”
